A few years ago, I was struggling to grow my 𝕏 account. I had good content, was posting regularly, but just couldn’t break through the noise. I was getting 10-20 likes per post, barely any followers, and wondering if it was even worth it.

Living the algorithm nightmare, you could say.

Every day, I would:

• Post content that barely anyone saw
• Watch competitors grow faster with worse content
• Waste hours trying random tactics with no strategy
• See minimal returns for maximum effort

I was just another person lost in the social media void, fighting for attention I couldn’t seem to get.

Let me tell you.

“Post and pray” doesn’t feel like a strategy at all, even when you’re putting in hours of work every day.

And that wasn’t even the worst part.

When I would occasionally get a viral post, I realized there were no lasting results. The followers wouldn’t stick, engagement would drop back down, and I’d be right back where I started. Great, huh?

There were 2 options:

1. I could accept that 𝕏 is random and keep gambling with my time
2. I could figure out a systematic approach that actually works

I felt frustrated, realizing that even though I had time and effort to give, there was no clear path to success. So, I decided to treat my 𝕏 account like the early-stage startups I helped scale to $1M ARR.

At the time, I had 1K followers and minimal engagement.

To this day, I can clearly remember that moment. It was a random Tuesday; I was thinking about what my next post will be and experimenting with different approaches.

I went to my profile and saw this number next to my last posts.

“100,000 impressions!”

This was it. I realized that if I could replicate these results consistently, there was no limit to how much I could grow.

It only took me a few seconds to realize that if I could do it once, there was no reason why I couldn’t do it again and again.

So when I got back to my desk, I doubled down.

Now hear me out,

I would be lying if I said that there weren’t days or even weeks when I thought, “What the f*ck am I doing?” My journey was a constant rollercoaster of ups and downs. There were months where I seemed to plateau.

But there was never a day when I wanted to go back to random posting.

In October 2024, I gained 20K followers with over 10M impressions. No paid promotion, no shady tactics, and no existing audience to leverage. It felt so strange to realize that my life had actually shifted 360 degrees.

Why am I telling you this?
